This isn't right why would Donald Trump say those words when all those 4 men do is fight for there country. It isn't fair for him to express that way because for example, if he had an older son that was in the military and the new president just called and said ''your son knew what he was signing up for'' he wouldn't have liked it and he would be very angry because your expressing your self in that way towards somebody that you really love.

This cartoon is basically saying that if you sign up there's no going back. They're saying that we went over what you might face, we went over everything with you. It's also saying that your at fault for what happens to you cause you signed those papers you know what you we're getting yourself into.

This cartoon is saying that if you die during combat, you know what you are signing up for you and the President will make sure your death did not mean anything: that's what the cartoon is saying. My opinion of this story, is that President Trump is a disgusting man to even say the widow of the dead soldier, that her husband knew what he was signing up for and his death did not mean anything other than what his mission was being kept secret from you.

I feel like its unfair because the widow should have gotten way more respect than that especially when her husband was part of the military and serving the country. Of course he new what he was getting into but trump could have showed a little more sympathy and respect towards the solders wife.

In my opinion I think that this cartoon is stating facts and that mostly all people are not looking forward to going to the military or army to die. Most people enlist to the Army to fight for our country and hopefully come back alive. I think that Donald Trump has no manners and is very disrespectful to mostly everyone. I don't think a person like that should be president and i don't even know why people elected him as president. what i see here is i guess one of the main people in charge of military base and is recruiting for soldiers and he's saying to risk your guy for this and to get a painful call will be on you and if your black trump will be more than likely to give you call about his death cause he was supposedly a captured man.

The thing about fighting for my country is very brave even though with the possibility of death i know very well what i would be signing up for. The phone call is another story because my family would be in a depressed state in mind and to get a phone call by the president like that would make matters even worse.

The cartoon means that the general is telling them that what they're signing up for is that their wife's are going to receive a cruel phone call telling them that they died and that's what you signed up for. The faces of the soldiers looked worried and concerned and look regretful. I don't like what Trump did to that family and they deserved a respectful phone call.

This cartoon is illustrating how when being recruited for the army, it is a serious matter and it does not always end with a happy ending. I do feel that President Trump could have given the widow a more empathetic condolence. Him saying that La David knew what he signed up for may be true, but it's not something you should say as a person giving their condolences to a widow.

Donald Trump is very inconsiderate and is not sympathetic whatsoever toward the wife of La David Johnson. This woman has just lost her husband and all he can say is that he knew what he was signing up for. That makes no sense at all. Of course, after the situation was released to the media he went right on Twitter and denied the allegations.

Donald Trump sent an awful condolence to the wife of the U.S. soldier. Trump calls NFL players that kneel during the national anthem “disrespectful” but as he called the victim’s wife forgetting the soldiers name and waited about 2 weeks to send condolences so he offered them $25,000. Trump did not honor our fallen soldiers and showed how he is a hypocrite because he disrespected the soldiers that were killed in Africa.

My opinion on this story is that Trump is not an example of professionalism and he does not deserve appreciation from the widow or her family. It is heartbreaking and disrespectful to not know the name of the man who has out his life on the line to fight for our country and the people, including Trump.

This cartoon is expressing how Donald Trump gave his opinion on the deaths of four fallen soldiers, who were serving in Africa. He went on the explain how the soldiers knew exactly what they signed up for and what the consequences would be. My opinion on the fact that the soldiers widow could not see her husband is that maybe the military just announced his death but never actually found him or that his condition were too server and would traumatize his wife for life but that still wouldn’t explain why she couldn’t see him.

Also, if there would be a death in the army, the deceased family would get a rudely made call from the leader, who only likes soldiers who did not have problems when in service. This gets me riled up that after the death of the soldier, the family would still get more from their own countries leader.

Basically what this cartoon is stating is what happened to Sgt. La David Johnson's wife. When Trump called to give his condolences he said "he knew what he signed up for." It sounded insensitive and disrespectful. My opinion on this cartoon is it disrespectful towards Mrs.Johnson and it shows what her husband didn't know what disrespected his wife would be.

This cartoon is referring to the phone call that La David Johnson’s wife received from President Donald Trump stating that it was what he signed up for, not mentioning his name. Johnson was willing to risk his life and privileges just so that Trump can view him differently. What a role model.

When one makes the decision to join the Military, Air Force, Marines, etc, they're thinking about defending our country and keeping it safe for everyone to live a protected life. Although family members are proud their also thinking about whether they'll be coming back or not, if they'll be fine.Yes, they know exactly what their getting into but after she just became widow it's nor right as the leader of our country to address it that way to her. The call that Trump was supposed to give to the family went horribly wrong. Supposedly trump "said the name of the soldier'' when they were on the phone. But the widow said that trump forgot what the soldiers name was. trump also said that Sgt. La David Johnson "knew what he signed up for" which was totally a disrespectful thing to say to the widow (whose name is Myeshia Johnson). trump has so many problems to fix. In my honest opinion, hes a very bad president and should be overthrown from the government.

I believe that Donald Trump is so disrespectful by the way he acts towards the lady who is grieving her husband's death while she was only trying to get him to be recognized for the big sacrifice he made. Just so later on when he dies.. the president won't even remember his name. I find trump even a bigger jerk when he says "the soldiers knew what they were signing for" this was a huge disrespect because he couldn't even act knowledge their deaths politely.
