what the cartoon is trying to say is that if we give teachers permission to carry weapons around school and that would cause a problem. what l think is that teachers shouldn't have a weapon at all because when someone is mad we don't think with our heads we let our body take over and we wouldn't want that to happen is a situation as a teacher having a gun and not thinking about her actions. The point of this cartoon is to show how schools can be a "safer" environment for children. People believe that workers in a school should carry weapons in order to keep students safe as well as make the school ground more protected with prison like fences and barbed wire. I believe this is not a real solution because it will make it easier for students to get a hold of a weapon and hurt others within the schools. Students should not be the only ones being observed for their behavior for there is the staff in a school that can pose a danger to students as well. There can be many situations were the weapon can land into the wrong person's hand and people can face an even dangerous situation.

The picture is trying to say that everyone needs to be armed and ready to shoot at anytime, they are trying to stay prepared. This isn't how the solution should be handled because all those guns around the children like that is too overwhelming and they are not even fully trained as a veteran would be trained with a gun. I feel the correct way to solve this problem is getting the armed veterans to protect the schools because they are more experienced and not around the rest of the school.

The point that this cartoon is trying to make is that school personnel should be armed to protect its students but how is it protecting it's students when it will be like they are losing their freedom and they are being controlled instead of being protected. The solution to this issue can be that why don't they just control the guns of the people who purchase them. One real solution to gun control and to keep schools safe is that they should ban certain arms and they should have a record of the person to see if they are mentally stable to have a gun and to protect schools only security guards school have a gun in possession because they are well trained and mentally stable.

This will not be the solution for all the schools across in America for teachers to have guns. The cartoon shows Trumps horrible idea. He wants staff who work on school campuses to have guns and we would be treated like we are not citizens; he wants to control us. This is a bad idea because many other problems can happen. For example, students can steal the gun from the staff member and use it. A possible solution is to have armed veterans protecting the school since they have experience and at the same time it will create more jobs for veterans. Another solution is to have gun control so that less people can own guns and it is not easy to get a gun.

The solution that our president is proposing is the implementation of firearms into the school. He wants teachers, security guards, veterans, anyone who knows how to handle a gun to be instated into the school to help prevent drastic events like this. I feel that this solution isn't something we should shy away from, it is a good solution but I do admit that there are flaws to this solution as well. Teachers could possibly use it to regain order or maintain order. Overall I feel that the pros over weigh the cons, so this solution to me is still a viable solution.

The point of this illustration is to illustrate how drastically the school environment will change if school administrators are armed with guns. I believe that this is a terrible idea. For one, parents and students may no longer feel safe to go to school knowing that there are guns in teachers possession. Moreover, no individual repetitively have a good day; there may be a day that a teacher is having a stressful mental break down. The results to this can be deadly for students if the teachers are giving armory. Lastly, what if the gun has been stolen or misplaced? This would lead to a school lock down, the LAPD getting involved, and so much more chaos. Therefore, teachers/ school administrators should not be given guns.

The reason this was created is to demonstrate the way the NRA only want to make more money. They want to arm teachers and staff only for their benefit. They don't care about the safety of students because they're adding more guns to the equation instead of subtracting guns. This is giving people the idea that arming school staff with firearms will provide more safety at schools. This plan can go both ways. The way that everyone hopes for is that this will stop people from even thinking about coming into schools with bad intentions. But by teachers carrying guns around school in the open, this will kind of give a prison atmosphere and not all students would feel safe because they would be paranoid about what the teacher chooses to do with the gun. How does a student know for sure that a teacher will protect them? They can say one thing, but when stuff actually goes down will they actually be brave enough to protect students.

Since there are school shootings, the NRA’s plan is to arm schools administrators and staff with a fire arm. This will create a decrease in school shootings and school deaths. From my perspective, schools should have at least 3 armed veterans protecting the school. The picture dissect this claim by making the school appear as a jail and students preparing for the army. Also, the school bus that the teacher is loading the children onto is an army weapon , the tank. I believe the school should hire armed veterans or school polices across America and put more restrictions and better gun control on fire arm. This would help the protection of many innocent lives.

Instead of protecting them, the cartoon is implying that schools will seem as that as in a war state. Many students will always have to be protected because of feeling unsafe with those amount guns. Instead of providing teachers with guns the US should have stricter gun laws or gun control. This way they can limit the amount of people that can have access to a gun. Those mentally unstable should not be able to own a gun. Background checks should be made to make sure they are equipped to own a gun.

Having teachers, cafeteria lunch ladies, and janitors have a gun will only make students feel scared. The weapons may be use against students to threaten them which causes issues. This is a horrible idea to many because kids being around an environment with guns can affect them mentally. Young kids are curious and as they grow they want to learn more on things that they experience, being around a staff that have weapons would make them want to learn more about guns. A long term affect of this can arise which can possibly lead to school shooters. In my opinion the solution to all of thus s to ban guns to all citizens of the United States, guns should be only accessible to the military. Many deaths would be avoided if citizens were not able to gain access to guns.

The teacher can randomly lose his/her patience with a student/(s ). Having Armed Veterans is also extra they should do something simple and not go all exaggerating. The point being made in this cartoon is that the NRA's proposal, aided by Trump, to arm teachers and school officials is one that makes little to no sense and is viewed as something that is almost a joke to gun control advocates. In my opinion, the solution to this issue is not to arm officials at school, but it is to place armed professionals, such as police or security like what we have here at Locke. That way, students feel more secure and trust the person who is controlling the firearm.

This political cartoon is demonstrating president Trump's ideals on how to prevent massive school shootings. Trump wants to: arm school staff and teachers, suit up children with bulletproof armor and make school safe by making it look like a prison. This is not correct and it's a waste of money because if someone can go through with shootings its obviously because they took time to plan it out. Trump is just adding onto their process, if they want to shoot up the school they're gonna do it no matter what precautions are taken. Iv'e seen plenty of people comment that armed veterans should protect school but that's also a waste of money and it's risky. They can easily be taken out with snipers. SNIPERS are part of the problem. The problem here is gun control, there's not enough reforms that stops people from accessing guns. GUN'S SHOULD BE BANNED TO THE PUBLIC. How can america allow such a young person to have access to a gun when they're naive and how can America allow an older person to have a gun when they're at risk of developing mental health issues.

The students will feel like they are under maximum security all the time when they enter the school gates. The solution to the issue is to think of a more non-fueling, smart way of creating more safe environments for students in school and people around school areas.
