I think this technology can have a positive and negative impact on the economy. The positive impact is that people will have faster accsess to things they really need instead of having them sent from somewhere far. The negative impact is that people will have no need to go and buy the item which might put some people out of business. And everyone will have accsess to one some day because as newer ones are made the older version will be cheap.
2/1/2015 01:26:40 pm
Diana you are right on board with the fact that people will get out of business . Here in the United States media is very popular and news gets around real quick. Imagine a printer that can build a house ? You think company's would want to send money paying workers or spending 2,000 on a printer . This is a tought topic.
1/27/2015 06:05:05 am
The positive outcome is that this project will can be become famous and provide many things and save money. People wont have to go to stores or out the country for their sources instead they can just make them at home all you have to do is spend 2,200 for the printer . The bad outcome is that stores will receive less money and if hooligans start taking bad advantage and print out weapons will be terrible use and can cause death.
1/28/2015 03:12:48 am
i agree with you elena because if people start printing out guns i think our economy will have more problems more than before and also it will be bad for some store owners because they will go out of business thanks to the 3D printer because now you can make what they have only your saving more money.
1/27/2015 06:10:19 am
I Think This Technology gone help some of the jobs get things they need faster. I think this technology if good for the economy. i also thinks its bad because some people out in this world might try to use the technology for building dangerous things likes guns.
1/27/2015 06:11:28 am
The main idea of this video is that they invented a "3D Printer "that will eventually create any type of object including body parts. But many people are concerned because this means that they will eventually create guns n other dangerous objects. In addition, they're concerned because it will effect the economy since they're isn't enough money that the government has anymore. Eventually, the more technology that is invented, the more money is using.
1/28/2015 03:34:12 am
yea but they could just print out more money,if not they could print out a new printer.
1/27/2015 06:13:29 am
the political impact of this new technology is that they created a 3D printer that will print anything you want , including body part and food. they're making gun parts as well. this can have a positive and a negative impact on the economy. the positive is that you wont need to go to the store to buy the things you need because you can just print it but the negative is that the stores selling these objects might go out of busiiness.
1/27/2015 06:22:08 am
I think people from stores going to just stop receiving less money. Everyone going to just want and buy the three D printer and create there own stuff. Some people going to use it for good just like other people going to use it for bad.
1/29/2015 01:33:45 am
@Anna I agree people will start printing things they need & cause most to be out of work because their wont be any use for them. Sense everything is able to be printed you are right to think some uses for the printer won't be good.
1/27/2015 06:24:23 am
The 3d printer is going to revolutionize the worlds economy. For example now one doesn't have to go to the store to buy the product one needs. Now one would have the option to make the product one needs. Now if one want something like food, toys and body parts. One will have the option to print it out which I think is pretty awesome.
1/28/2015 03:41:16 am
Facundo but dont you think there will be people who will make guns or similar to it? How is that awesome? There will be violence for those who think in making weapons.
1/27/2015 06:30:42 am
This machine will be a great industrial impact on peoples lives. people will get the basic necessities they need without having to buy stuff anymore. it will be awesome but still i think its still artificial and idk if it might work
1/27/2015 06:37:16 am
you would be in total isolation its up to you and the way you can manage technology
1/28/2015 03:55:04 am
1/29/2015 01:40:07 am
@Marcela Organs are natural & made from the body, i think artificially making them may cause severe side effects to the user of the organ.

3 D printing would make a huge impact in the economy/country. Though 3 D printing can have a positive or negative impact people may use it for good or bad. This type of technology can be used to print organs ears skin etc. and help thousands of people who are waiting for a transplant etc. People (criminals) may use 3 D printing to print gun parts since its so easy and cheaper.
1/27/2015 06:32:08 am
The impact this printer is going to have on people could be both good and bad at the same time because n the way its a good thing is because things can be done quicker and as well many lives can be saved. As well as now instead of saying you wish to have something you could for the most part just print it out. The disadvantage of it is that many people can use it for a bad purpose such as printing a gun and therefore many deaths can be caused. Also with these printers many more people can loose there jobs just because a machine can now do the same thing a common person could do.
1/28/2015 03:52:16 am
i agree with you karina because the 3D printer could be used for bad things such as guns and ect..and this could affect our economy..
1/27/2015 06:34:54 am
I think this technology would negatively impact our economy. People would no longer go to stores and shop, because they can have anything with a click of a button. Like the guy in the video said it's like Walmart at home. People will become more recluse and less socially involved.
1/30/2015 04:24:47 am
I agree with you, because the 3D printers will replace many employees, and we won't have enough jobs for hard working people. Do you think it will have a positive impact on medical needs?
1/27/2015 06:38:43 am
This printing technology can impact economy and culture in two ways which are the following , It can affect the people that are trying to get a job in order to provide income into the family's home. Though on the owners of the big company's would be glad for this to happen as they wold not have to worry on paying salary wadges. It can affect culture in a way that people would get lazier and wouldn't worry about a single thing as they would have a printer to make then anything they want.
1/28/2015 03:45:17 am
I agree, the business owners will have the most benefit because they will make more money and will give less money to workers. They wont need so many workers because the 3-D printer will make the job faster. People might get lazier but it can also make them want to create a business by selling their product from what they print.
1/27/2015 06:43:28 am
The impact of this video is how this technology can be useful for good and bad. This could be bad for the people making these things because it can be illegal and they can be token too jail. But also this technology can be good use for many people because it can save money. In my opinion i think the weapon printing not a good thing too do because probably most people can take it too far and instead of using for a good thing and if it being used for violence the weapon printing would not be a good idea for the safeness of people.
1/27/2015 06:46:49 am
3D printing can and will impact the economy and culture in many ways possible. There is many positives such as helping the sick, having more supplies that we didn't have in the past etc. It can also have a negative effect such as people who take advantage of this invention. My opinion is that this is a great invention though because everything will always have pros and cons anyways.
1/28/2015 02:48:50 am
The potential impact of 3-D printing are both profound and unclear. On one hand the ability to print out materials in this manner can help with organ transplants. According to the Forbes.com article, "Princeton professors also created a bionic ear made from living cells...(forbes.com)." This will improve the scarcity of viable organs for those in need and extend lives. If such advances are successful the culture of our society could become one high quality health and the extension of life.

i believe that having a 3D printer is good but the fact that anyone can print out weapons should be printed out for only good reason like for soldiers or they should have a reason for why their printing out a gun.
1/28/2015 03:34:46 am
1/28/2015 03:40:41 am
yes at some extent it should be regulated especially for bad use of the 3D printer.
1/28/2015 03:23:24 am
I think the 3-D printer has a good and bad impact to it. Its can help the people who need kidneys and different organs survive and dont have to wait years for someone to donate one. The bad part is that someone can make something to hurt or kill someone, like a gun, bomb, ect. My opinion the 3-D printer should be available to people in hospitals and to people that could afford it.

1/28/2015 03:54:07 am
1/28/2015 03:26:51 am
3-D printing has many impacts that can beneficial and non beneficial to many people. It can be beneficial because according to the Forbes article they are creating body parts using a 3-D printer. This can help those people in need of an organ transplant, which will save many lives. It can prevent scarcity from people who cant afford to eat. People would be able to afford food by just being able to print anything they want. I believe that there will be more business's because according to the video people are making profit from the objects being printed. Many corporations are starting to make business with others to obtain what they need.
1/28/2015 03:47:14 am
1/28/2015 03:56:27 am
I believe that the world wont be safe because not everyone would be able to afford a printer, therefore, not everyone would have a super weapon. Then the people with a super weapon would want to take advantage of those who don't, which would cause chaos. If people want to allow printed weapons the government should make a law of who can own one.
1/28/2015 03:29:07 am
i believe 3D printing will have a big impact because everyone will proabably own one.which would make alot of people lose there jobs and buisnesses.
1/28/2015 03:37:49 am
1/28/2015 03:44:09 am
some examples of what could be created with the 3D printer are body parts, clothes, and possibly food.which would be good for some people that own a 3D printer but for those who work in clothes companys or resturants might lose thier jobs since everyone would just start printing out there food. But for who ever needs a kidney or organ will be glad that they invented the orinter.
1/28/2015 03:29:58 am
After watching the 16x9 video, 3D Printing: Make anything you want, I am truly amazed and was left in awe at the countless ways this is going to change our society as a whole. For example, the video mentions that Wake Forrest's School of Medicine professors are already working towards making organs that can definitely help the long list of patients who are waiting for transplants. Moreover, it will also reduce the organ rejection rate of patients and possibly serve to extend our life spans. If I can extend my life another 10-15 years then I'm definitely going to invest in it.

3D Printing: Make anything you want
1/28/2015 03:42:18 am
Mr.Rodriguez i agree with you about how we should be concerns about 3D printing and the bad impact it will have on the labor force in out country. I mean what is gonna happen to those hard working people when they get replace by 3D printer. I believe that this event will bring the economy down to the ground.
1/28/2015 03:33:41 am
I believe that 3-D printing will help out the scarcity of organs. that's one good thing that's gonna come out of 3-D printing.'' Princeton now able to create'' bionic'' body parts using 3-D printing...''. but i would like to know if everyone would get something out '' bionic'' body part's are is just gonna be for people who are able to pay for it. I also think that 3-D printing will soon save many life's, but at the same time take jobs away form hard working people who are living on a monthly check. what is gonna happen to those people when a 3-D printer takes their spot at the factory,at a fast food place nobody has ever stop to think about that. people are just think about all the good things 3-D printing is gonna bring to us. people should think about the con's about 3-D before anything bad happens.
1/28/2015 03:47:08 am
1/28/2015 03:48:37 am
I agree with you in that I also believe 3D printing is going to revolutionize the world of medicine. Millions of people in need of organs are going to be able to receive those parts in the hopes of extending their lives. Moreover, I also have similar concerns in regards to the distribution of these organs, quality, and especially the cost.

3-D printing has gone to a point where you can print body parts and help anyone in need of one. But the impact it will have is people will take advantage of it. It may help those in need but what if it does not function like your regular organs. It will change the culture how instead of changing just one organ you will have to change some other one for it to work correctly. The way it will impact the economy is it will cause people jobs also people will print things that should be allowed and can cause some type of violence.
1/28/2015 03:48:54 am
1/28/2015 03:57:58 am
I understand your concerns about 3D printed organs not working as well as natural ones but the organs will be made up of the patient's own cells thus reducing organ rejections. How do you fell about them after learning this information?
1/28/2015 03:36:37 am
This technology will create new jobs for people who have the skill sets required to build the machines, ink, and build things using these printers, but on the other side it could also lead to people who's skills are no longer useful like people who build everyday things or construction workers to lose their jobs because a machine could do whatever they do free of pay and possibly better. These people would need to figure out how to find a skill set that would be useful.

3-D printing seems to have everyone fascinated with the idea that one can print out ANYTHING. The side effects are the negative impacts 3-D printing will have in culture and economy.
1/28/2015 03:39:20 am
1/28/2015 03:39:45 am
well in my opinion i think that a 3D printer can or will impact the economy in many ways possible. It could affect the people that are trying to get a job.
1/28/2015 03:49:09 am
1/28/2015 03:43:17 am
I think 3-D printing can be have a good and bad impact. 3-D printing will change how everything is manufactured. Bio printing is the printing of living tissue, can save live. Weapons part can also be made without getting a license. I also think that 3-D printing can help gain job and take jobs away from people. The skilled work can be replaced by a printer and someone that is skilled with the 3-D printer.
1/28/2015 03:50:29 am
After watching the video I saw how much 3D printing can affect our economy. I saw how it could solve some issue of scarcity to help those in need at the hospital by replicating their organs and tissues. I also saw how it 3D printing can change the needed jobs as you would need more programmers to progrem the blueprint for the 3D printer. So in a way 3D printing can change the future for the better since you would no longer need to need to find suitable donner to help save a life but instead can replicate an organ of the same DNA to save that life but in the other said it would make it harder to get a job in the future as you would need to be highly skilled at programing to make a blueprint correctly.
1/28/2015 03:51:04 am
The potential impact of 3-D printing can be both positive and negative. As a positive outcome there is the ability to be able to print out organ transplants which is beneficial for the people who are currently on a transplant waiting list. As a result, there will now be a higher chance for the people in need of an organ transplant, to survive. However according to the video there are "negative" outcomes to 3-D printing, such as the ability to print out gun parts. This causes a controversy for 3-D printing and if it will have a positive or negative effect for the future. With such advanced technology people will use it to their advantage, whether if it is a necessity or simply a want for more materialistic things.

After watching this video about 3D printing , i say that this can help us in a way but it can hurt us even more. It can hurt us because a lot of people will start losing jobs. Also they are probably going to start making unknown object and start selling that for a lot of money. And that will hurt the people that don't really have money. Also the 3D printing can help us because it can make body parts that people need to live. So the donations rate will go lower and people wont pass away.

I believe this 3D printing will impact the country becuase it will change everyones lifes. This technology will create many new sources for other people. Also for people that dont have enough money to buy something now they can print it out without having to pay or owe money. It also can be a bad thing and for the country becuase they could start printing illegal stuff.

I think if a person prints out a weapon they have dangerous intentions or plans for that weapon.A person just don't make a weapon for nothing its a reason maybe he or she is in fear of their life or maybe they're going print a weapon just in case something happen so he or she can be ready.
1/29/2015 01:34:49 am
I think the 3-D printing can be use for good and negative use. One reason is that you can print anything you need but not everything should be able to be printed from the 3-D printer. People should use it in a positive way, instead of making problems.
1/29/2015 01:41:50 am
I agree but no matter what if a person has the power to print anything he or she want weather its good or bad its going to be created

i Believe That THis The beginning , Theres Going to be more worst things than this but its on us people that give it power because if we are letting a cell phone controls us than we are giving it freedom so we are going to suffer the consequences like this later on us humans wont be needed because a human being is going to be made that has the look of us but like steel that nothing cant happen to them . its are fault for this .

I think that the 3D printing is a good and bad idea. Its good because it'll help alot of people get what they need like the organs. Its bad because its prolly made just for people who can afford it,plus they making stuff we dont need like guns.

After watching the video i think that 3d printing will help alot of people because people will be able to print out what they need. It will help the society, but probably some people might use it for crime. 3d printing will help some people and it will kind of bad for other people.

I believe that 3D printing will have both a positive and negative impact on the economy and culture of the country. This type of printing allows people to create anything that is necessary to them, which helps save money. It helps people in a way that is fast and easy because all they have to do is press a couple of buttons that tells the printer exactly what to print out. But, 3D printing is also negative because some people will take advantage of it. Some will use this to print things that will be a danger to society and put people's lives at risk.
1/29/2015 01:49:39 am
The potential impact of 3-D printing can be both positive and negative. As a positive outcome there are people who are waiting for organs and things they need now to make it beneficial. This will help those who are needed for surviving. However the negative things that the 3-D printing can do is built guns for example. Another example is peoples jobs. This machine is practically something anybody can get and make (almost) anything you want.

I think this printing device is really going to affect our economy me or jobs ,and the way we live and shop. Because people due to this device now people can make whatever they need like the man said I biggest thing that people my be interested in is food. That's right who wouldn't like to make their own foods they want and desire.
1/30/2015 04:21:43 am
My opinion on the video is that Bio 3D printing is going to have a positive and negative on the economy. It is going to have a positive impact on the economy because it is gong to help generate/make organs for people that are waiting for them. Which means that 3D printing is going to save many people's lives. It can also have a negative impact on the economy because if the 3D printing is not used in medical uses, it can be used in the work force. Which results in many employees losing their jobs because of the 3D printer. For example, if 3D printing is used in a warehouse, the owners won't have to pay employees to make parts or manufacture, they can just fired that employee because the printer will take the employees position.
8/17/2016 11:53:35 am
I think that 3D printing can benefit the world in many ways. With 3D printing we can create body parts such as lungs, heart, and kidneys which can potentially save people's lives. 3D printing can also make common objects that some people don't have available in countries where they cannot find the specified item of supplies are limited. Bowls, spoons, tables, desks, and other things can benefit the economy and also benefit others things such as education.
