I think that what should be done is that the congress t should have trained stable police officer and Military personnel to protect schools from mass shoottings also having metal detectors before coming into school. This will cost alot of money but no amount of money is worth a life

I feel like this is the time for us kids to make some noise that can make a change in gun control laws. If we continue to do the walk outs or speak out on the way people us guns. The congress will know that us as student want all of the gun violence to stop.

This is a good example to show that students will not go to schools until they get what they want to ban guns. They should ban guns that the solution. That's what Trump should do.

I don't really have an opinion on this but i do like the way that the kids did what they had to do without the teachers they came together and protested for the 17 people who were killed at that school including the teachers that have lost their lives that was apart of the 17 people being killed. every other school maybe would have never protested for this if the teachers/staffs did not wanna protest but these kids in flordia did not care if the teachers/staffs wanted to protest or not they still made it happen without them. What should be done for the issue is gun violence at schools , don't let kids buy guns ,don't let them in schools until they are being searched it can be a lot of work done due to gun violence especially when it's the violence towards kids/teachers and the schools but it's basically up to the person who have control over everything in this world.

I personally want to say that the event was very honorable and respectful towards the people who died in the tragic event of the shooting. On anther note I also want to say that gun control could be contained to an extent. If i own a gun I don't want the goverment to take away my gun just because of someone's mistakes. No i have rights and my rights should be respected. Regradless of what horrable accours.

what i think about the event that recently occurred is good because people in school are speaking up and using there voice to say something on what happened to those 17 people who died in the school shooting. In my opinion i believe we should do about the gun violence is to have trained stable police officer and military personnel to protect the school from any school shooter.

In my opinion i think kids taking a stand is a very good idea and they are doing good. I think they should make a law to for gun control or be more strict. It is not fair that kids lives are being taken because the US is giving guns to people who do not deserve them

My opinion is that the students are absolutely right. Multiple laws need to be passed. How on earth was this man able to purchase the firearm he did after the fact of being under surveillance and questioned by the FBI? There is obviously a problem here. Also why put weapons in a school and that is what caused this situation to happen in the first place. Just backwards!!

A tragic event hit the United States one month ago. A walkout was organized on March 14, 2018 an I feel that this action was a important and huge event. I feel that it was because it gave us the students a voice on an issue that affects us. This school shooting affect everyone that is in school and now that students are getting a voice in it is a time for change. Change that needs to be implemented now not later. I feel that the implementation of firearms on teachers and school staff is an average idea but there are flaws. I feel that the process of owning a gun should be much more difficult then it is now. If each owner had to have annual check ups for their mental health ect it will make the number of people wanting a gun not want one anymore.

IN my opinion the protest was a great event because it was a student led event. The protest was about the gun shooting of Florida and and the gun violence behind it. I believe what should be done about gun violence is The U.S having instead of less guns, it should be less ammo to load the guns. What i mean by this is that there should be higher prices for ammo so young adults and or dangerous people couldn't get their hands onto one

I think the national walkout was something done correctly by the students. It shows that the community can stand tall together and face the problems of their society. I think that the US govt should hire highly professional police officers to protect the schools instead. It would hurt more to see people dead than to see them in manacles.

This protest was a good way to show the world how gun violence is affecting students since they are the ones having to live it in their schools. Something should be done to prevent gun violence from continuing in the US. Stricter gun laws should and need to be established to prevent from people being able to perform such horror.

I believe that this event was honorable and respectful. This is how we can begin to get involved and begin to make a difference. I believe there should be restrictions for guns and who can own one. There are certain people who should not own a gun because of safety issues. Therefore, we should be careful on who owns a gun and how it is used by the owner.

In my opinion we are going to bring change by this act of unity all across the country. We need reform in our country now because we have lost too many innocent people to gun violence. We should make guns illegal and have severe consequences for having them. Schools should also have more security so that in the act of a school shooting there is police on campus ready to take down the shooter.

What i think of this event is that it is history in the making. What had happened yesterday was a international movement that can lead to a lot of different and important changes. What needs to be done should have been done a very long time ago and needs to change now. I think the issue of gun violence is very big and not easy to handle. It needs a lot of help in changing the gun laws because it already has shifted the country.

In my opinion we should take guns away from people that have a history of violence, and Limit the sales of guns so people don't have more than one firearm. We should also raise the price of ammunition, so we can prevent mass shootings from happening.

I believe that the protest was a good step towards making sure the youth's voice could be heard. I also believe that there should be unity between schools so that our message can become even more powerful. Us students should take advantage of our resources, which are our representatives, our teachers, and just the adults in generals to receive the information and foundation we need to make a difference. I believe that the government should focus on what the students are saying when coming up with a solution to this problem. I say the students, because we are the future. Since we are the future than we should have the rights to put our input on changes that will have a long term effect on us.

The national walk out that occurred was a good idea created by students. I feel like if the right people speak out on gun violence then more people will get involved and the government will have to listen and change its ways. People with experience of gun violence should speak out because this has been a problem for years. Not only in schools but also in our communities.

It is a mixture of feelings; sad yet heart whelming. It is disappointing to realize that it has taken more than just one school shooting to realize the severity of this problem;however, it is heart whelming to see students my age finally come together worldwide. When I hear about these school shootings, they always seem surreal. But, then I realize that that could easily be me or even one of my closest friends and because of this, my drive towards this situation, is to completely ban guns. Besides official authority, no one should have the right to be armed.

Look, gun violence isn't a new uprising systematic issue, it's been an issue for years now especially in lower-income communities but the recent mass shooting brought major attention to it. The #nationalwalkout movement is great, its exciting and incredible to see how people from all the states and people from different countries are fighting for a resolution in order to prevent serious and damaging events. I personally believe that guns are no longer of good use for people to have. Guns are not even actively protecting many citizens anymore, in fact they're just harming them. If no one but officials had guns then i believe everything and everyone and everywhere would be safer. To me this a clear and obvious resolution. BAN GUNS TO THE PUBLIC.

I think that the event was a good idea because they wanted their voices to be heard and by walking out they were. It also brought more attention to the topic. What should be done about the issue of gun violence is that they should make guns laws stricter. If this were to happen then there would be less shootings and less violence. An example of what would happen if they made guns more difficult to obtain would be UK, they haven't had gun violence in years.

I believe this was a good way for students to have their voices heard and to demand change that will affect generations to come. It gave students the opportunity to speak about what should be done to stop gun violence and whether or not teachers should be armed in order to protect schools.I believe that gun laws should be more strict and that people diagnosed with mental disorder (or anyone really) shouldn't own a gun.

A horrific event occurred a month ago that changed peoples lives and created controversy. A protest began yesterday that involved many schools internationally to protest against gun violence and school shootings. I believe people with health issues should not be issued any type of gun and schools should have more armed securities.

I think that this event was a good way to start the movement on having better and more safe schools. I think that it was effective and it is showing everyone that we are not alone and that we as student will not tolerate this to keep on happening. Gun violence is going to be hard to stop for the simple fact that there is way more guns then there are people in the United States but there are some possible solutions to gun violence for example there can be background checks, they should also be a requirement on who can get guns and on how you could get them. People should not be aloud to just get guns from anywhere.

In my opinion I think kids taking a stand is something that is good because not only are they standing up for whats right but they are also showing that they are willing to do anything to make sure that theres a change and that something is done before it is to late and it becomes more and more worse. I believe that they should just banned guns in general. should knowing who has the most powerful weapons and powerful country be more important or come first than its people? It is not fair that kids lives from all over the country are being taken because the US is giving guns to people who do not deserve them.

An atomic bomb is a bomb that when it's dropped on a place everything around where the bomb landed will be destroyed. People will just see a flash of light they won't be able to do anything, the people bodies will vanish, crumble, and their skin will melt off their body. I think they used the bomb for military reasons because when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor the United States were stunned because they destroyed their military base so they dropped an atomic bomb to get even like, how Albert Einstein once said " In WW3 we will use deadly weapons but come WW4 we will use sticks and stones" because WW3 will be the deadliest and the most destructive war in the world

In my opinion i think gun violence should stop especially at schools. Innocent people have died for the use of guns. Guns need to be banned from the public For the people who participated in the walkout event I think they were right for doing it. Those students also want the use of guns to be banned.

This event the "NationalWalkoutday" imo is good change but we had always had gun violence for a long time and pretty doubt those students in the news don't have to deal with gun violence in their lives everyday walking to school or anywhere. But positive thing is all students are all coming together making a change instead of bringing each other down. The issues of gun violence that should've been done is to ban guns or make background checks stricter. For example, make changes on how old can you be to buy guns.

The event that happened on March 14, 2018 was to remember the 17 people that died from the mass shooting on February 14, 2018 at Stoneman Douglas High School and to change the law of guns. My opinion on this event is that it is good that we come together as a unity to change something that can harm more and has harmed people so much. Not only are they making a change for the law of guns but they are making history too. I think they should ban guns and if any person that owns a gun should have serious consequences.

The Atomic is the result of the Manhattan Project and killed roughly 226,000 total people in both bombings. This was a Military. The president said that a land invasion in japan would would result in a lot of casualties. So the decision of the atomic being dropped was inhumane but justified by war and the fact to many lives would have been lost in the process.

What I think about this event is tthat it is happening/has happened for a greater cause. This event symbolizes the youth being vocal about a topic that will potentially harm them in the future. The issue of gun violence should be handled with care and sympathetic/empathetic values. The congress should train police officers, teachers, etc how to handle school shootings and mass shootings if you are ever in one instead of having teachers have artillery in their hands 24/7. For example in the Florida school shooting I feel that the congress did not train those teachers who were involved and now they are harmed or dead including students. Congress or the mayor should issue a monthly training for all people across the globe so people could be aware about their surroundings and be ready to protect civilians and themselves in a crisis like mass shootings/school shootings.

What i think of the event is that people want the government to hear them thats why they walk out of schools and work. What should be done is they should put a law in all the country for no guns and they should check every person that buys a gun. thats how this would stop the violence of any shooting.
