Thank you so much Mr. Lawson for posting these cartoon, they could not express my emotions any more accurately than how I feel.

I have always though of teaching as a noble practice, or even an agent of social change as education serve that purpose. Never did I think that the most stressful parts of my job are dealing with pressures outside of the classroom, i.e. administrative directives, state tests, and most recently, turning in "deliverables" that may or may not be given feedback and lead to no other purpose other than checking a box of completion.

The graph that shows parents wanting less and less for their children to be teachers is interesting, but it expresses how education has changed and how it has become privatized. I believe that teachers are still the human aspect of education, and I hope that others will never forget that because our voices are crucial for the future of education and our students.
