72 hours of hate and horror, forever pain and never forgotten. The events that took place in over 3 days were drastically tragic but are a shame that our country would let it come to this. In the text 72 hours in america by Ray sanchez and Melissa Gray it states “A white man with a history of violence killed two african americans; mail bombs were being sent to people who’d been criticized by the president; and saturday morning, a man shouting anti-semitic slurs opened fire at a Pittsburgh synagogue killing 11 people” all of these acts were caused out of hate, hate of religion, opinion, and race which is a shame that people could instantly hate a stranger. Our country has let certain freedoms get into the hands of the wrong people and we are now suffering the consequences, but not just anybody, innocent bystanders. If our country would stop overlooking the obvious signs of hatred towards certain movements, race, religion and beliefs then i’m sure there would be less events like the one that took place.

Hearing the news of these 3 crimes were saddening , but hearing and seeing who the 3 suspects were came as no surprise. All 3 suspects were white terrorists:a term that the media refuses to use when addressing white men.All 3 males were said to be “mentally unfit” although I do agree that they are mentally unfit/unstable but they shouldn’t use this term to address the 3 suspects.I feel like the media uses this term to shield the country’s sense of white fragility by refusing to calling these men terrorists or even extremists, one of them even sent out pipe bombs to but not limited to:Obama,CNN,and Maxine Waters. If this was committed by any person of color or someone who was of muslim or islamic belief they would be tried as a terrorist. These 3 men will NOT be tried as domestic terrorists even though all 3 of these men committed acts of terror targeting people of color ,and that is what saddens me the most. The fear of domestic terrorists is a thing of the past, now we must fear those who are ‘mentally unstable’.

i agree with everything you said in this paragraph especially when you say "media uses the terms mentally unfit/unstable to shield the country's sense of white fragility" because like you said let that would have been a person of color , or some one who was of muslim/islamic belief they would've been bashedor taled about in the worst way like they are savages/ animals and would've been punished with no remorse.its sad how they make excuse for these people just because they are white if thats the case every person that commits a horrible crime of this sort should be labeled as mentally unfit or unstable .

My personal opinion on the events in the news is that all these chaotic events stem from Trump’s presidency and the high controversy around him. Trump himself had no take in the acts committed but his supporters, all alleged white supremacists, committed racially and anti jewish acts of violence. The mail bomber Cesar Sayoc was a frequent at Trump rallies had a vehicle that was “plastered with pro-Trump messages and stickers.”and “A former boss said Sayoc called himself a white supremacist.”showing his support for Trump and his apparent racism. His homemade pipe bombs were sent to Hillary Clinton, former secretary of state and former president Barack Obama.People who are known for being against president Trump’s ideas.Sending bombs to the political opponents of Trump to ensure that he is safeguarded and can continue to push is agenda.

America is not a safe place for African American people. In the CNN article, “72 hours in America”, we hear about Gregory Bush who killed two African Americans at a grocery store “following a failed attempt to barge into a Black church”. As Bush walked out the store he told another white person “whites don’t shoot whites”. This makes me feel like America is not safe for Black people because the suspect is targeting Blacks. If Blacks are going to be murdered and targeted then African Americans aren’t safe in America.

I agree with you Fredric. I also believe that it is not a safe place for African-American people or Jewish people because of what happened in the past week. I feel African-Americans aren't safe because of the 2 people that were killed at a Kentucky Kroger store after a failed attempt to shoot up a black church. In the article it states that "Gregory Bush headed to a Kroger store, where he allegedly shot 2 African-Americans". I also feel jewish people arent safe because of the shooting that happened at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh that killed 11 people and injured 6 People. I believe that what Bowers did was extremely wrong because in the article it states that "Bowers posted xenophobic content claiming Jews were helping transport members of migrant caravans in Latin America". I personally believe America is not a safe place for anyone except for white people.

It’s crazy what happens because of hate. It’s also sad because so many innocent people have lost their lives due to someone hating them or just hating their race or those type of people in general. Honestly, I don’t think anything will happen next. Sadly this is the society we live in and in our society there will always be white privilege and white supremacy. All I expect to happen is more shooting and more hate crimes to happen. I say this because there will always be hate no matter what and people will always try to solve things themselves. Although I believe that nothing will really happen, I would like to see some changes so that more hate crimes can be prevented from happening or at least stopped before anything can happen. In conclusion, hate will always be around and nothing will ever change that.

It is horrific and terrifying that there are people out in the country that are white, and kill innocent African-Americans because of their hate towards them. One suspect of the name of Gregory Church tried breaking into a BLACK CHURCH but couldn't get in so he decided to go to a local Kroger store and killed two innocent African-American people. For example in the article of “ 72 hours in America” it states “ He tried first to enter a church in Jefferson town, Kentucky, just outside of Louisville… Gregory bush allegedly banged on the door and tried to pull it open… didn’t manage to get inside. The doors were locked… Bush then headed to a Kroger store, where he shot two people, both African-American.” This quote from the text shows that this person committed a hate crime because he first tried breaking into a black church but failed and then went to a Kroger stored and killed two African-American people. In conclusion, it is very shocking and random of how these people think and hate on these innocent people because of their skin tone.

It's unfair how the innocent die from the people that use hate as a weapon. CNN has reported 3 crimes in 72 hours, those 3 crimes are hate-filled crimes. “ Wednesday, a white man with a history of violence and killed two African-Americans, seemingly at random, at a Kentucky Kroger store following a failed attempt to barge into a black church. After mail bombs were being sent to people who’d been criticized by the President, a suspect was arrested Friday -- a man who had railed against democrats and minorities with hate-filled messages online. And Saturday morning, a man shouting anti-Semitic slur opened fire at a Pittsburgh synagogue, killing 11 people attending Jewish services. Those three incidents in 72 hours shared one thing: hate.”. The quote is from the news article of CNN, these quotes means that the hate crimes reflect on our country. My reaction towards this is disappointments and shocked. It disappoints me because the people in this country repeats the same actions from the past, which was racists and unfair to the innocent. It also shocks me because I thought people would leave things in the past and create a better generations than the last. In conclusion, it’s unfair how the innocent die from the people that use hate as a weapon.

Three hate-filled crimes were committed this past weekend. All this crimes were committed by caucasian people who hated people from different races (Jews, African-American and Latino), based on the information CNN News provides. There is a difference in one of the crimes committed, the only difference is that this attack was against Democrats. Pipe bombs were mailed to different Democrats.

It's embarrassing how much hate we have in our country and all over the world. These irrational acts of violence are not who they are as americans. What i think about this is people shouldn't be so volelet to each other. For example “A man shouting anti-Semitic slurs ran inside the tree of life synagogue in the close-knit neighborhood of Squirrel Hill and opened fire, killing 11 people Six people were injured in the attack but it left many more hurting”. People have so much hate against each other that they can't handle it. People have died, people have gotten injured, lost close love ones all because of hate. These are my options on “72 Hours In America”.

When a white man kills a person in America it's usually blamed on mental illness. In “72 hours in America: Three hate- filled crimes. Three hate- filled suspects” by CNN it states, Bush, a White man who killed two African Americans, is said to have “a history of mental illness”. As seen in the text the media usually finds a reason or a way to make something not sound as bad when it's a white man.

I agree with Luis because when a white person commits a "crime" or does a "shooting" some how they are "ill" or a person with "special needs". Like it doesn't make any type of sense to say that because we all know that when we do such things you have to know what you are doing because you cannot tell me a person with special needs can teach themselves how to fire a weapon.Only someone with all there senses can learn such things. Society always tries to find a way to make white people look better than others even after what they've done is something traumatic. I do not not know where society wants to go with this. Its complete non sense. This make no sense on why white people hate people of color like at the end of the day we are all humans. but the only thing that blinds them is that they think they're better based on there skin color and because they have better priviliges that us. They always try and find a way to push us more and more down just so that they can feel better about themselves. i don't like this at all and if we could make changes to help everyone we should because we have the money just the government chooses not to help everyone.

I agree with you. Now if the roles were switched, it'll be a bigger problem than the ones whites don't see. Let's say if a black person shot and murdered a white person, they'll get worse punishments. Whites focus still think they're the perfect race but don't see there mistakes. A crime is a crime, there is no excuse of kill innocents, mental or not.

In American society there is no safe place. In the CNN article “72 hours in America: Three hate-filled crimes.Three hate-filled suspects” the authors discuss how two white men attempted to barge into two different places of worship and kill people. “Gregory Bush tried to barge into a black church and Robert Bowers opened fire at a Pittsburgh synagogue” You can be in your own home and get killed innocent people die where they worship there god it isn't fair because we can chose to be at the safest place and still not be safe.

I agree with Deserie because there really is no safe place in the US. One would think that the most safest place to be is to be at church because nobody would bring a weapon there and everybody is usually friendly to each other. People come to the US to have a better life and I know this because my family came here in search for a better life. The shooting that happened at the Jewish church was wrong and i feel sorry for them because some of those people were holocaust survivors who lived their whole life in pain and came here to leave all that pain and chaos behind them just so they can get killed by a white supremacist .

My overall reaction towards the three past recent events that had happened in the past week or so, was a sense of fear in a way. A fear of anticipation, an unwanted anticipation. Considering that each of these big events have one main thing in common, “Targeting” which was done towards minorities and even democratic politicians is kind of hinting at what kind of violence might be happening this whole year to come. Influences and representatives like the president, are in a large sense promoting this violence for an example, in the document,“72 hours in America” towards the end of the section the article describes the suspects vehicle which in the following states “Sayoc’s political inclination were placed where everyone can see. His white dodge van was plastered with pro- Trump messages and stickers showing prominent liberals in crosshairs. A sticker reading ‘CNN sucks’ was also on the van” this is CLEAR evidence that white supremacists are idolizing Trump, and it is those who are supporting him and his ideals who have been stirring up more and large amounts of violence in the U.S. What i also find to justify this, was in another section of the article, skimming through i came across a part of the passage that stated “Bowers also posted xenophobic content, claiming jews were helping transport members of the migrant caravans in Latin America.” this makes it pretty evident, that just like our president the suspect opposed of the Latin American Caravan, such as the president who in encouraging the U.S to see Latin Americans as a “threat’. To conclude this i feel like our president and those of which support him and his ideals and beliefs in particular are promoting what is going on in the US to a violent extent and i feel like more of this is to happen the more that the president and others supporting him or share similar ideas continue to spread ideas and statements that can be provoking and encouraging.

African-Americans will get tired of the White people killing them and getting away with it. In the CNN article 72 hours in America: Three hate-filled crimes. Three hate-filled suspects” “A white man with a history of violence shot and killed two African-Americans, seemingly at random, at a Kentucky Kroger store following a failed attempt to barge into a black church”. How can people have so much hate towards a culture/religion? I predict that White people will feel the pain Africans-Americans been feeling for 400 years. I predict this because they’re crazy and have no sympathy and this will ruined them.

In my opinion white people are crazy and I don’t like the sympathy whites get when they do anything terrible. In the CNN article it states “Bush has a history of mental illness” This quote is showing how when it comes to white people the news loves to show sympathy for white people. What I’m saying is if a person of color was do to anything near this it would’ve been everywhere channel ABC 7 news would have been talking about this calling us all kinds of names like thugs gang members .In conclusion I feel like white people should be held accountable for the terrorist attacks they do for example everytime a white person does a shooting it’s never called a “terrorist attack.” This evidence proves racist white people are crazy and always get sympathy for their attacks.

In the past 72 hours there has been a lot of violence all over the world . The part that hurts me the most is that it is a repeat of cruelty that white people are always do to us African Americans. It honestly scares me because you don’t know what to expect next . In the society that we live in now their scared of us because they think we’re all just gang members and criminals , when in reality I’m actually scared they have all the power they can have . For example what Gregory Bush did in the Grocery store was the most devastating thing i’ve heard all October. In the story it even says ,” im just sick and heartbroken and quite angry. I feel that way about any act of violence and cruelty,”said Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer . With saying that quote from the story , i can agree in every kind of way . They have all this “big” power , but they not using it in the right way . Its people out here with kids that are homeless and they’re giving out 1 billion powerballs . It’s off topic but it does not make sense to me. This is just making us Black people scared to go anywhere where they socialize at too. Going to the grocery store is an everyday thing , nobody should be scared to go to the grocery period because this is our country too just not theres . We try just as hard as they do in everything and i think we deserve safety and respect . Inconclusion , im upset and also frightened of what white people are doing to us black people and it needs to stop before it gets too serious and our country is really at danger .

People of Color are not safe in the United States. In the CNN article “72 hours in America : Three hate-filled Crimes” states, “ Bush , a 51- year- old white man, attempted to “barge into a black church’’ but didn’t manage to get inside because the doors were locked. Bush then headed to a Kroger store, where he allegedly shot two people, both African-American. The first victim Maurice Stallard was trying buy his 12 year old grandson a poster board for a project and he got shot. my response to the 3 hate filled crimes that happened in the last 72 hours is that its sickening and sad. in all three hate filled crimes there was a white man doing the hate and in the things ive seen before its not surprise the white man has always felt like they were the superior race and gender and everything under it was trash since he beginning of time but yet police officers are acting surprised and trying to hide the fact that all these hate crimes came from racial thinking. in the artice it says "wednesday a white man with a history of violence shot and killed two african americans seemingly at random" how would it be random if this amn has a history of violence and racism it didnt come out of nowhere those are his beliefs and he needs to be punished for them

My response to this is ironic because white people are doing whatever it takes to be at the top of the hierarchy which this is what has happened in the past. this is how this nation was created through oppressing and killing minorities. For example the article said " Hatred and violence on the basis of religion can have no place in our society.. the alleged crimes are reprehensible and utterly repungnat to the values of this nation." BEfore this country was formed white settelers came in and killed minorites to be at the top and now people are commiting these types of crimes to show how whites supremacy is superior and what can happen if minorites try to revolt or fight back.

News of these events is heartbreaking but not surprising many of the times these kinds of things make it to the n. . Reading the article with the three men and some shooting at the churches because of their racist beliefs raises a lot of concerns for minorities. In the news 7 Hours in America there're things to be afraid like for example the article states, “A man shouting anti-Semitic slurs ran inside the tree of life synagogue in the close-knit neighborhood of Squirrel Hill and opened fire, killing 11 people Six people were injured in the attack but it left many more hurting”. In my opinion and respectfully there's many things I will never understand. When the news or something happens, as these things occur it makes it onto breaking news. The media creates a sense of fear in people which shouldn't be there because statistics say otherwise about violence in America. Every little thing makes it onto breaking news, they should call news, breaking news considering how many things they put on media. We place the color and the labels on ourselves, we speak and comment yet all that occurances still continue. My opinion on this article is just not necessarily on the bias side but it tends to occur in many places, as it makes its way onto the news and media somewhere out these they just gave somebody that same idea and it's a never ending cycle.

In my personal opinion, I feel like America isn't taking these three situations serious as they should be and this has is for sure turned into a race matter because I can bet anyone if these three men were black these situations would have been worst on them. I also feel like now that trump is president, White supprenency are starting to come out of the box and doing all of this to prove a point. But its giving Trump a +1 because by saying he's a nationalist its waking everyone up. Lastly i feel like as long as trump is in office America will keep having these types of current matters and everyone may turn against each other.

"This evil anti-semitic attack is an assault on humanity. it will take all of us working together to extract the poison of anti- Semitism from our world.". the event that took place within 72 hrs in America is a bad unforgettable experience.something similar to this happened in 2015 where by a white guy went into a black american church to shot the people there and wrote a letter talking about white supremacy and also saying he is not sorry for his action, they only punished the boy and did not say much on it which i think led to the motivation of others who did the same in the past week .As it is now some black American would get tired of white people's action and will decide to take revenge which might led to war within the country but before it get to that stage i think the government should take some steps in order to stop this wicked act before the people start taking laws into their hands.

Within the American society, terror lives in the hearts of all minorities, people of color. The 3 white folks that committed these terrible crimes and targeted certain religions and people, placed fear in the faces of those whom are related. The desire for some whites to feel superior than others, Gregory Bush, target African Americans and other people of color due to the ideology of nationalism. To my knowledge, I think that this comes from the logo of "MAGA" that is promoted by Donald Trump. These kind of criminals are largely influenced by the media of white folks, such as America's president, and the nationalism that they spread. They think that people like us, minorities, make America bad, that we bring in "rapist" , and they just have a negative perspective on us. We need to acknowledge what is going on and make a change to avoid if from extending on to further crimes and getting out of control.

This is crazy how from one person multiple started doing it too. This isn't the first time pipe bomb have been sent to people who work for the government. It't a chain reaction, one person does it and another thinks it's okay to do it which isn't the case. This guy was 56 years old and he sent out 14 packages containing pipe bombs. This guy wanted to kill someone and the crazy part is that it has happened multiple times in the past it will come later in the future and god knows hoe much crazier it will get. This should stop because this can seriously hurt or even kill someone. An article states "none of which were detonated, but all which were real." this lets us know that all he wanted was for them to get seriously hurt or even kill that person. Just knowing there are more people like that s scary because we live day by day waiting for someone to get killed by people who think this is okay.

As referring to the article "72 hours in America: Three hate-filled crimes. Three hate-filled suspects " makes African Americans or even other races feel unsafe or knowing he/she could be the next target and white americans telling were considered "lower race ". So afterall my response to this is just pure vicious towards African Americans and sometimes other races. One quote from the article " 72 hours in America: Three hate-filled crimes. Three hate-filled suspects", it states " A white man with a history of violence shot and killed two African Americans, seemingly at random". This quote is saying Bush "randomly" killed two innocent African American at a public store and attempted to break into a black church. Overall, Bush tried to get into the church to kill even more African Americans to create another massacre in the past, referring to the bombing in Burlingham , Alabama. Overall, no matter how many innocent African American lives are taking away by white people they would be considered with a "menatll illness" or any other illness to not make them look bad.

In the past 72 hours it has been a really horrible time for two big minorities "African-Americans" and "Jewish people." These two groups were targeted by three different White Male Supremacists in three different events, but all in the past 72 hours. The funny thing is that this isn't a new thing. These huge minorities groups have been targeted by white supremacists since the long before the united states was founded. One of the events on these past 72 hours was the shooting on Wednesday, a white man with a history of violence shot and killed two African-Americans, seemingly at random, at a Kentucky Kroger store following a failed attempt to barge into a black church. Another event was on Saturday morning, a man shouting anti-Semitic slurs opened fire at a Pittsburgh synagogue, killing 11 people attending Jewish services. These events had one thing in common, hate. They were all hate crimes by a male with "white supremacy" beliefs. In conclusion I feel that the white supremacists in this country are a danger for minorities like Blacks, Jewish, Hispanics...etc. They are in danger but we cannot leave this country because it is our only home we know and love, but people with white supremacy beliefs do not want us here. I feel that this country isn't yet finished nor great, but to make it a great country we must stop taking racism and white supremacy lightly!

First off white people live in fear, fear that they will no longer be superior or have a sense of hiearchy in this society. Some white ppl. may be unstable and need to seek help. Others like this man in the article clearly did not like the inferior race or people that were not of his racial group (As he would call it! Not me!). This man decided in broad daylight that he would kill two African Americans just so his fearful self could make his presence and stance be known that he is basically saving his race and doing whats right for his race. This man then wrote a letter or so stating that he was doing it for the sake of his race (dont wanna dig too deep into history because I would be here all day) saving his population from going extinct because African Americans(man did not state but said they) were killing them off. This man was also trying to go to a black church but thank Jesus they locked those doors, they were not fearful but aware of their surroundings, something this man and his race knows nothing about. This is Very Very significant to society today because there is history of black churches being mobbed by white people and killing innocent African Americans. He is basically trying to

The 72 hours article is very saddening and not a shock. It is very sadding because innocent men and women were killed. But it isnt shocking because they were all committed by white men.Almost to all of them with a history of violence. When president Trump spoke on the subject he blamed the guards, but he didnt acknowledge the real problem...when in fact it wasnt about the guards at all.

The past few days in America, have been ruled with hatred in the headlines through three crimes that were committed in less than 72 hours. Though the crimes may be separated through distance in miles, they have two common factors, hate and pain. As a person of color, seeing these crimes committed against those who look me or share common backgrounds angers and saddens me. According to CNN, Robert Bowers claimed that, "Jews were helping transport members of the migrant caravans in Latin America." Due to his belief, that Jews were aiding Latin immigrants escape their country to find asylum, Bowers opened fire in synagogue and created a mass shooting. Knowing that someone is sick enough to kill others for having humanity sickens me. I am from Latin descent and have parents who migrated from El Salvador and Honduras, so this especially hits home for me. This crime filled with hatred towards an entire group of people is unjustified because he opened fire in a synagogue 2,417 miles away from the United States border. This entire reasoning is flawed,no argument can even be made for this hate crime. With this said, I am sickened by not only this crime but the other two hate crimes that has occurred in the past three days in the United States.

The events that took place in 3 days. In the text "A white man with a history of violence killed two african americans; mailed bombs were being sent to people who’d been criticized by the president; and saturday morning, a man shouting anti-semitic slurs opened fire at a synagogue killing 11 people” these acts occured out of hate. Our country has let weapons get into the hands of the wrong people consequences, but now innocent bystanders are being killed. The media uses this to cover up the country’s sense of white insecurity.

When I hear the three traumatic events filled with hate. I was sadden about the tragedies as well as shocked on how these people came to be. I can't imagine how someones brain can have these racist or radical thoughts. Each story had hate from the man who killed Africa Americans in a store because he couldn't go to the black church. The man who shoot up a synagogue because of Jews are "helping the invasion of immigrants to kill his people." The last one was a man send pipe bombs to Trump's enemies.

An event that took part in the "72 hour in America: Three Hate Filed Crimes" is the Terror in the Mail. Meanwhile the shooting in Kentucky was happening there was a feeling of dangerous mail being sent around to certain people such as Hilary Clinton, and the package was life threatening because there was a bomb inside of it. Another example is there were 13 other bombs sent to other people and event sent to a famous television program named "CNN". These were all sent by one guy which is named Cesar Sayoc, which was found and taken to jail on Friday the same week. Cesar Sayoc was a big Donald Trump supporter, he had a white van full of Donald Trump stickers showing his support and also is displayed for everyone else to see. The van is also where he was making and mailing the mails out.

72 hours in America: Three hate-filled crimes shows the trouble and chaos caused by three white men in the United States in such short amount of time. The trouble and chaos caused by these white men were solumnly based off of class and racial beliefs towards underclass people. In this article it states, “Wednesday, a white man with a history of violence shot and killed two African Americans, seemingly at random, at a Kentucky Kroger store following a failed attempt to barge into a black church” (pg 1). This evidence shows that this white men along with the others purposely targeted black people because of the hate they have for people of color. I believe it is a shame that our country still has acts like this from people, especially most well known from white people, because the United States is basically justifying their wrong actions. There have been many cases where a white kid and a black kid do the same crime but are treated completely the opposite, which always ends with the black kid getting arrested so brutally while the white kid has racial advantage and respect because he is white. This goes to show that their is still white supremacy and there should be something done about it because this is a county that “stands by equality”.

I agree with Hugo If a white man commits a "crime" or does a "shooting" some how that person is "ill" or a person with "special needs". Like it doesn't make any type of sense to say that because we all know that when we do things you already know what you are doing because you cannot tell a person with special needs can shoot a gun how to fire a weapon or how to kill a person. Only someone with capabale ablities can do such a thing. Society will always try to find a way to make white people look better than others even after what they've done is something traumatic.

In those 72 hours in America there were three hate crimes with three hate-filled suspects. These include killings of minorities in the Jewish and African American community. The news reports show white men being the reason for those deaths. This may just be because they felt threatened and not by anyone themselves but their own pride. They still want the old America that is not right. Even after taking a life their actions are justified and the commotion is not even as large as it should be. Even though when a minority causes something its either not even their fault or they are made seem like a monster in a way. Concluding with this being this is important in today's society because of how history has been coming along just because a white man wants it to be like it used to doesn't mean this should keep happening at all.

In the past 72 hours it has been a really horrible time for two big minorities African-Americans and Jewish people. These two groups were targeted by three different White Male Supremacists in three different events, but all in the past 72 hours. This is ironic because it isn't a surprising news that white supremacists have been attacking people they hate. These huge minorities groups have been targeted by white supremacists since the long before America was founded. In my opinion, this country is just foul and full of hate for no reason. I feel like supremacists need to check on their beliefs before committing a crime.

In the article "72 hours in america: three hate-filled crimes. Three hate-filled suspects." America is not taking these types of crimes seriously, some people will even think that those crimes are completely fine when they're actually horrible. Many people like jew's and colored people get targeted with crimes constantly. For example with the massacre in synagogue, it was a really serious situation that not many people heard of or knew about. The attack left 11 people dead and 6 injured. The attacker would occasionally express his opinions on jew's on social media. he even posted something saying "cant sit by and watch my people get slaughtered. screw your optics, i'm going in" The language in which he would talk about them was really negative and he had a lot of hatred. My response to this is that everyone should be more aware on whats going on with the world instead of waiting for something bad to happen.

My response to the three hate crimes that took place in 72 hours is that I am angered about these events. Part of me wants to be shocked about these hateful crimes but in reality I am not. Knowing the history of this "nation" is what made me realized this was bound to happen under Donald Trumps hands. The three hate crimes all had one motivation and it was because of white supremacy and the president himself. First off, the shootings by Bush that killed two African Americans, Maurice, who was with his 12 yearold grandson and Vickie, These two victims were innocent people who died in the hands of an ignorance white supermists man that had a hatred for colored people. This makes me so mad because it comes to show that no colored human is able to feel safe or be safe in their home or surroundings because of the horrible people like him. "72 hours in America: Three hate-filled crimes. Three hate-filled suspects " states, "Bush has a history of mental illness, made racists threats and repeatedly called his ex-wife the N-word...". This quote demonstrates how unsafe this country is because how is someone going to be free or not even be looked at when making threats and being unfair. This crime is just one example that not only shows the ignorance behind this man but proves why I am so angered about this. As you can see, I am extremely bothered by this hateful crimes and many more crimes that were motivated by white sumpremacy and ignorance.

Disappointing, that's the word that comes to mind when I think about all the hate-filled crimes committed over the last 72 hours. I can't begin to think why we were born into a society that isn't supportive of other races or are even threatened by one another with the need of feeling superior than the others. But what I've noticed is that many white people who support Trump, often like to take matters into their own hands. Over the last couple of years what comes up in the news often is "...a white man with a history of violence shot and killed two African-Americans, seemingly random..." Ever since Trump has been elected president and even when he was running for office, all of his racist and ignorant comments were praised by those wealthy ignorant republicans and White Supremacist. When a campaign like that is hyped up the way it was, nothing good is expected to come out of it. But with a world and country that we live in and how things are going, I don't believe that whatever changes will come, they will not be for the better.

The three hate-filled crimes had to do with a death, massacre, and innapropeiate mail. The death at a grocery store was one of the incidents and two African Americans died, the other incident was that bombs were being mailed to many places including Maxine Waters which is close to where we are located and some sent to former president Barack Obama. The third incident was a massacre that happened in a synagogue, 11 people died. The article states, “Bush has a history of mental illness, made racist threats and repeatedly called his ex wife the N-word, according to court records WDRB reported.” This shows that this hate-filled crime was done out of our racism and just hatred but he also wasn’t in the right state of mind either which shows how poorly the gun laws are managed. Another piece of evidence from the article says, “Wednesday morning, the Secret Service said two more had been found — one addressed to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton...” This shows how the bomb weren’t just sent to local places, they were sent to people of higher power and that also shows a form of hatred. Adding on, the text for the massacre in a synagogue states, “A man shouting anti-Semitic slurs ran inside the Tree of Life synagogue in the close-knit neighborhood of Squirrel Hill, killing 11 people.” This also shows forms of hatred and the disrespect towards these people and the person guilty of this incident doesn’t seem like they have much knowledge of what is going on. In conclusion, all these crimes had to do with racism and hatred the people who were guilty of all these crimes showed that they had no care towards anybody else they just did what they wanted thinking that they were about to “Make America Great Again”.

In just 72 hours, three different hate crimes occurred with people of race other than white. These crimes in America have become not only regular, but accepted and that's not okay. Many innocent lives have been taken away leaving families to mourn, while their killers are being rewarded. In the article, one of the killers of the crimes was taken to Burger King after killing people of color in a church. If this person wasn't white they probably wouldn't have even seen another day, but this goes to show how serious these crimes are to our law enforcement. It isn't right, but we live in a world where if you're not white you live in a constant fear of injustice death.

In the article "72 hours in America: Three hate-filled crimes. Three hate-filled suspects" talks about how three different people committed hate crimes and how it makes others feel. If they were willing to kill people because of hate, who knows what else people filled with hatred are capable of doing. It makes other races that are not white feel powerless because the white people are doing everything they can to be the top race in America and in doing so they put down the other races. Many people might feel unsafe at all times because they never know if they might be the next victim to get killed for no reason. For example in the article it states, "killed two African Americans, seemingly at random." which makes people worry about their safety.

In my opinion, America does must let people know that hate crimes are serious and will be acted upon with no remorse. The government pretends as if there isn't enough evidence to determine if hate crimes ocurred or not. The article, 72 hours in America: Three hate-filed crimes. Three hate-filled suspects, states," killed two African-Americans, seemingly at random...following a failed attempt to barge into a black church," This quote just shows that the suspect tried to inflict as much damage as possible towards African-Americans and after missing his opportunity at the church he just killed the first few he saw which in this specific case was two. This just comes to show how people think their actions are justified due to what they believe.

Three hate crimes three different people, but all three of them are white? This comes to no surprise, hate crimes have been going for a long time. the media has always preferred to make terrible crimes committed by white people look less severe when they say that they are mentally ill. I agree with the statement," media uses the terms mentally unfit/unstable to shield the country's sense of white fragility" because the media and publicists always use these terms when the crimes are committed by white people but when crimes committed by people of color it is looked at as a full-on hate crime with no mental disabilities. It is extremely important to notice and talk about most of these "white terrorists" are trump supporters. In conclusion, we have to look at the type of people committing these crimes and stop alleviating the severeness of these types of crimes and stop labeling the white people behind them as "mentally unfit"

My personal response to this news is that innocent people are being killed because of their race. The article “72 hours in America:Three hate-filled crimes.Three hate-filled suspects” by Ray Sanchez and Melissa Gray of CNN demonstrates Bush, a 51 year old white man, tried to get into a African american church but “didn't manage to get inside the doors were locked. Bush then headed to Kroger Store, when he allegedly shot two people, both African American.” This person is showing us he was anxious to kill a African american so since the church was locked he went to the store and shot the first two African Americans he saw inside the store. If people are getting killed because of their race they are going to feel like they aren't safe here no more or going to think they are always to get target.

Hearing and reading this news made me feel sad and disrespected because, I am too a person of color. " 72 hours in America " , by Ray Sanchez and Melissa Gray, CNN, introduced the world to the horrific crimes committed by 3 completely racist and heartless men. In the text it states, " a man with a history of violence shot and killed two African-Americans, seemingly at random at a Kentucky Kroger store following a failed attempt to barge into a black church. " With this being said it clearly shows how heartless and racist this man is that he went and took the lives of TWO INNOCENT PEOPLE OF COLOR then attempt to go and barge into a BLACK church. These crimes were committed by people who follow behind OUR president who is trying to " make America great again ". These people feel like Trump isn't doing enough at getting rid of the people of color so they are " stepping in ". These killings have to stop and they only want to kill us because they see us as a threat.

Trump blames social media for the recent hate crimes, but I blame him. I am talking about Cesar Sayoc, a 56 year old white male who sent bombs through the mail and aimed them to whoever disagreed with Trump’s beliefs, more specifically, nationwide known people. According to the article 72 hours in America; Three hate-filled crimes. Three hate-filled suspects, Sayoc’s “white Dodge van was plastered with pro-Trump messages and stickers showing prominent liberals.” The article also said Sayoc “often posted provocative photos and memes attacking liberals...” So CNN can’t post “fake news”, but Sayoc can post inappropriate hateful things? This shows that Trump has negative effects in this country. Obviously Sayoc is influenced by Trump.

America is not a safe place for everyone specially for African Americans. As we see in the CNN article “72 hours in America” there has been many hate crimes from white men towards blacks. The text states Bush a 51 year old white men, didn’t manage to get inside a black church. “The doors were locked. “Bush then headed to a Kroger store, where he allegedly shot two people, both African American”. This shows how African Americans are not safe at all in this country, because there’s white supremacists that have the need to obey and follow the beliefs of our current “leader”. Adding on, all these hate crimes make African Americans so afraid that they are starting to lock the doors of their churches. Even then a white supremacist went inside a synagogue and shot 11 people and left others injured, because he had heard they were helping out the minorities; which in this case is the brown race. America was promised to be a safe place for everyone but its not such if people are targeted for the color of their skin.

America is no longer safe for Latinos, Blacks or any other colored person. This situation makes me feel like I’m not safe at all, and aren’t we supposed to feel like were safe in America? In my point of view: it can be a regular day, and then we hear that someone we love or care about gets killed. Such as all these types of shootings in America or any other place anybody has been shot , America isn’t safe anymore because of a man who sent 14 packages that were supposed to be bombs: for all we know he could have sent it to our school and we wouldn’t even know. Cesar Sayoc sent bombs out to other people just for Trump, because people didn’t agree with Trump's messages or anything in general. In the CNN article “ 72 hours in America” we read about a guy named Cesar Sayoc, he sent a total of 14 packages to all the presidency people who are against Trump “ the Secret service and two more had been found-- One addressed to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and another former president President Barack Obama”. Cesar Sayoc’s white Dodge van was plastered with a ton of trump's messages , showing tons of negative towards a lot of colored people and companies such as CNN. This whole thing that happened in the last 3 days makes me feel like at any moment we can be killed , I feel like we’re not safe anymore. They can come to this area and start shooting any person especially colored people. Were their targets , it isn't safe for us Blacks , Latinos nor any colored person in America.

I feel like America isn’t unified in providing equal justice for everyone. A lot of people just feel like “f**k everything” and they just do what they want without thinking it through regardless of the consequences. The way the society is now we should not fear each other but fear the whites because they feel that they are superior to people of color and that Black people are inferior race due to the background of our ancestry. In the CNN article “72 hours in america it states “, the suspect is believed to have posted that he “can’t” sit by and watch [his] people get slaughtered”. So he decided to run into a jewish church and killing 11 people while 6 people were injured.I feel like if they were taught better as kids and learned that there not superior as they believe they are For instance, meek mill stated “ they told us to hate each other before we learn how to walk, mama taught you how to fight, fight, before she taught you how to write, right…” Which he is saying we have to come together as one instead of having a black life movement and still killing each other. Also, how were focused on the wrong things in life instead of focusing on luxury get your education and build your way up to your dreams of success we have been through the pain so we can overcome and become successful. Racism is extremely real in America .The CNN article “72 hours in America: Three hate-filled crimes. Three hate-filled suspects” shows racism because a 51 year old white guy tried to enter a black church but it was locked. The article states “ he tried to enter a church in Jefferson, Kentucky just outside of Louisville. It was the predominantly black First Baptist Church. When he couldn’t get in “Bush then headed to a Kroger store, where he allegedly shot two people, both African-American”. This evidence shows that racism is real because Bush attempted to kill multiple Black people. Moving forward I would like to see people like that punished but im scared that his race will retaliate.

No one in this country can not have freedom of religion. According to two articles, a white man killed two african Americans seemingly at random, “following a failed attempt to barge into a black church”. He initially wanted to go to a church and shoot the place up. The racial of the church didn’t really matter because the massacre in a synagogue happened and it was a white jewish church. Gregory Bush has a history of mental illness and made racist threats and also calling his ex-wife the N-word multiple times. The second church shooting was in Pittsburg in a neighborhood of Squirrel Hill with a killing of 11 people by Robert Bowers as the shooter. He believed that he couldn’t sit and watch “his people” meaning whites getting slaughtered. In a post he claimed” HIAS likes to bring in invaders that kill our people.” Bowers claimed that a Jews were helping transport members of the migrant caravans in Latin America. It makes me feel disgusted that these people that want and shoot a church because I come from a religious family and the fact that freedom of religion is being in jeopardy because wanting to help gets someone killed or injured. Having people attack their church is having the religion being attacked as well.

The south of the United States is the dangerous side in the country. In the CNN article “72 hours in America”, it says “a white man with a history of violence shot and killed two African-Americans, seemingly at random, at a Kentucky Kroger store following a failed attempt to barge into a black church”. This incident is related to two bombings of a church each taking place in different southern states, bombing of a church in Birmingham, Alabama during the Civil Rights Movement and a shooting at a church by Dylan Roof in South Carolina. This is why people should never travel to the south because some southern states had some racial history that is related to these stories that we heard of.

Then he started to mail bombs were being sent to the President and the person who sent them were arrested. The three things that happened in 72 hours started one thing: hate. It’s a very bad thing that these things are happening in the hate in our country and frankly all over the world. Gregory Bush was accused of banging on the door and tried to pull it open. Bush was a 51 year old white man, who didn’t manage to get inside. Bush then headed to a store and was allegedly shot two people who were African-American. The recent current events that are happening in the United States make me sad and angry because violence is happening to Black people and also people like me. In the CNN article “72 hours in America” Donald Trump is making it more difficult to get to the US and stay in the US for black and central American people. For example Robert Bowers, a white man who killed 11 jewish people on saturday said “I can't sit by and watch my people get slaughtered. Screw your optics, I’m going in”. This example shows that this white man don't want to see white people get killed by Central Americans so , he killed jewish people for offering help to latinos. I feel bad for all this that is happening to the central american people, white people treats us as killers and that's why they prevent to us from getting here and that's why they call us invaders.

All people are the same, no matter what race they are. In the Article titled “72 hours in America: Three hate- filled crimes. Three hate- filled suspects”, It talks about a guy (Gregory Bush) who shot 2 African American people in Louisville, Kentucky. Bush killed an older man inside the grocery store and a female outside in the parking lot, “The first victim was Maurice Stallard, 69, who was with his 12-year-old grandson buying a poster board for a school project. The second was Vickie Jones, 67, killed in the parking lot as Bush fled”.
