No its not congruent with the trajectory of our society today Fro Example Carls Jr.'s slogan in film is "Fuck You! I'm Eating!," Todays Slogan Is slightly the same just with out profanity It s Don't Bother Me, I'm Eating .

i slighty agree with shameka because yes their slogans are similar to ours but to a certain extent because some slogans can go beyond what we see in the film idiocracy.

The film and are society are really similar of what I can infer. Like in the movie are language is getting dumber because we are now able to use less characters to complete a thought. for example(LOL, Lmao, wtf). Also fast food chains are serving bigger unhealthy food for a very low price. also Ads can be seen anywhere on t.v.,surfing the internet.

The film and the article is saying that every time someone makes a new technology that does something for us it will the human world will become dumb and expect technology to do everything for us. In the movie we saw people watching a movie of an ass the people were so dumb that they thought it was funny and entertaining. And some believe the future might be like that everyone having really advanced technology and really dumb.

The movie Idiocracy is a commentary on the way social media, the advancement of technology, and major corporations are negatively affecting society. It is leading us on a downward slope towards de-evolution. Though it's only been a few years since this movie came out, there are already similar situations in the present day. In the article it points out similarities in advertisements, the destruction of the human language, and the sexualization of major companies.

So you think that all the companies will jut be about sex? There has to be food companies and junk food that could rival those companies of those factors

the film and the article are saying that technology is taking over our brains. instead of saying the full words we shorten them up. technology is making people look dumb because they dont depend on anything but the technology.

Exactly. The progression of technology seems to have the opposite affect on intelligence. As technology advances humans are rapidly regressing.

I strongly agree with gabby society is going to a wrong direction when it comes to technology . For example we depend on technology when it comes to spelling.

From my point of view the film and our society can relate a bit . In the film you can see that the people lose inteligence as the years past and now since tecnology does everything for us we get lazy and let tecnology solve the problem.

the films position has impact of technology on human intelligence. in a way the film can actually relate on our society and how it is.for the reason that in a few years technology is going to out smart humans in plenty of ways.

well what i think is that this film is trying to say or show is that people are eating in fast food and that were gonna end up getting fat and that were also gonna end up getting lazier and dumb and that were not gonna want to do anything only technology would be doing all the work and that there gonna become the people technology would take over our spot as humans.

i think that no matter what the advertisements says its how/what they do in the advertisements such as carls jr. they make it look like the girl will be attracted to someone eating a burger but to me the advertisements might bother me if they are made like in the movie idiocracy.

The predictions of idiocracy have become a reality. Of course in the movie things were exaggerated but not by far. The images displayed by the media are crude and actually offensive to the intelligent, but yet it is becoming acceptable because society is beginning to change the perception of intelligence and appropriateness.

The Film "Idiocracy" is basically supporting Eisteins Quote when he said technology will make us dumb, It is kind of congruent with the trajectory of our society because in the movie their advertising a lot of adult services and our commercials today for example, Carls Jr is showing half naked women just to buy a burger.

The article and the film "idiocracy" demonstrate the advancement of technology and certain advertisements are affecting our brains. Technology is affecting the intelligence of our society by forcing us to use a certain amount of characters to describe or give out thought. Some examples that show the connection of the film and our society today are the language we use in text messages or social media and advertisements from fast food places.

I feel like Idiocracy is trying to say that business will have a huge influence on us because business companies such as Carl's Jr are already going in the same tracks as in the movie with their ads mainly relating to a girl and objectifying her into the burger. As for technology we'll eventually have it the to the point where cars will drive for us which will resemble the cop car from the film and to me this makes me feel that this piece of technology won't help us as much as it should because yeah there will be less accidents but in return we as humans will only get lazier. So in the end so far it seems like we're going in the trajectory from the film because food ads are sex related and technology seems to be going in the track where it'll make humanity lazy.

I agree with you because in the movie "Idiocracy" it show Starbucks as sexual place where one could get a hand-job. Like you say we are almost there because fast food restaurants use sexual things in their propaganda. For example the sexy girl model eating one of their products.

The film and the article are basically saying that as technology improves, people will become dumb. Instead of us the people becoming smarter with time, we make technology smarter and have it think for us. According to the article, " one of the futuristic dumb chatterers has a GPS in his car that literally talks to him and guides him everywhere he needs to go." Although the movie came out quite a while ago, the GPS now are similar to the one in the movie. Many things in the movie are similar to events we see now. Our society will eventually become dumb like in the film if we keep relying on technology for everything.

i think both our society and the film/article are the same. in the film businesses like starbucks and H&R block offer adult services but innovation in our society and other companies still provide or allow adult services such like carl's jr and its commercials. Ads everywhere throughout the film every character has an advertisement on there clothing, in our society will we are on the internet or driving home from work you will see ads on billboard or under you tab on the internet.

I believe that what Einstein said about people becoming idiots once technology takes over is true. As we see in the movie " Idiocracy " we see how people are becoming dumber because we are letting technology do everything for us. The problem is not technology becoming advanced is the people who are not taking advantage of the technology. Technology can help us in any ways such as health, education, etc. We shouldn't let technology take over our world.

In the film Idiocracy it shows all the negative effects the advancement of technology will have on us humans. In the film we see how human intelligence has decreased and the destruction of the human language. Idiocracy shows big companies using sexual references to promote their products. This is something that we can currently witness, the Carl's Jr ad is a great example of that. Although the future may not be as accurate as the film predicts it to be, there are definitely some predictions that the film had that are currently happening in our society.

The film/artical is basically stating that the media is making people stupid as time progresses over years. The more technology improves the worst humanity becomes. Technology is going to cause a decrease in human intellect.

technology does not make people dumb .I think it depends on the persons usage of technology teens and adults tend to stay on the internet for more than 2 hours which affects the brain . However, the article is true but it is about the persons usage.

The society in the movie "Idiocracy" is not congruent to our society just yet but if people don't change their ways it can get their very fast. For example in the film the lady at the hospital just had to click on the picture on the keyboard of how the patient was feeling, we have something similar to that. In our computers, tablets, and smartphones with click on the picture of the thing we want to do.

Whenever I read a blog, I trust that it doesnt baffle me as much as this one. That is to say, I realize it was my decision to peruse, yet I really thought youd have something fascinating to state. All I hear is a cluster of whimpering about something that you could fix in the event that you werent excessively bustling searching for consideration.
