I think the Malcom X image shows a primary example of counter hegemony because it portrays a way of thinking in which one can break the cycle the minority fall for by simply stating," A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything"

The XXL cover with Lupe Fiasco symbolizes both hegemony and counter hegemony. The messages that are reflected in much of the rap and urban music glorifies a behavior that the industry uses to control the mental and fiscal power of people who idealizes these entertainers. Counter hegemony because it creates a platform for artist to speak out against systems of power that oppress communities of colors and furather raises the consciousness level of members in and outside of that community - Bobby Shmurda vs Common

I chose Huey Newton he is an example of counter-hegemony. Huey wanted all of the people to be equal and he was against hegemony.
