Why exactly? Be specific on what you think is stupid and why?

Remember everyone who reads this does not attend Locke. Be specific about what you mean by "they have us all separated..." and what about the food is jail like.

What can we do about poor quality food? What are they serving for lunch in other schools? Who makes the decisions that dictate our everyday life? Why is nutrition important for education and what impact does bad food have on the learning experience? What is the history of Green Dot schools.

These are the questions that come in to my mind after reading your post about jail and Locke HS. I graduated from Antelope Valley HS in 2006. My school was taken over by the state and all of sudden Sheriffs were on campus everyday. It felt like a prison because we were constantly be supervised by people with guns. I had a great time in high school but there was an incident where I was struck with a baton by a deputy for no just cause. I was mad AF. My family came to the school but the administration and the police were so close that the sheriff was protected and the was no action taken to identify the officer and correct the behavior. There were multiple instances like this one with not only myself but other black and brown students. I can't speak for us all but I know that in my circle of friends (we all graduated btw) we developed a growing mistrust of the Sheriffs. Not all sheriffs are bad but I don't think that schools should prepare youth for prison.

Locke is like a prison because people treat it wrong but at the same at the same time Locke shoudn't have to buzz you in just to get inside the school like TF

Yes, their are some similairities between Locke High and a prison. Some however are justified because of student safety and the history of violence here at Locke.

Being buzzed to get inside of Locke High School helps to make sure that the students wont be put in danger from outside people.
